In the early 2000s under the leadership of the third generation, Steve Phillips, Phillips Mushroom Farms made the decision to re-enter the market for the white button mushrooms. This strategic decision presented us with a task, "how do we get ahead of the competition and deliver better quality mushrooms?"
In 2007, Phillips Mushroom Farms invested in state of the art mushroom technology. With the assistance of the Dutch Christiaens Group, the team at Phillips implemented a new system for providing superior mushrooms. Phillips Mushroom Farms now has the most advanced mushroom growing technology in the US. Our competitive advantage with technology gives us the opportunity to bring consumers the best-tasting and highest quality mushroom possible while demonstrating our passion for quality and dedication to customers. Once completed in 2009 the Warwick facility began production and demand quickly increased encouraging Phillips Mushroom Farms to expand the Warwick Farm with additions in 2011, 2012, 2016, and with our most recent projects in 2019. This facility is harvested multiple times a day with electronic climate control, so mushrooms are grown in their optimum environment and picked at the perfect time. With four generations of mushroom growers working on the farm, our team has the knowledge and experience needed to continue improving processes so that we can continue providing a great product.
